The Levant region has been plagued with conflict and violence for too long. Syria is under the rubbles, Lebanon is on the brick of bankruptcy, Iraq is under upheaval and the same everywhere. It is time to think differently, it is time to build something new from Gaza to Basrah.
I wish to see “The United States of the Levant”.
A democratic federal state that brings together 80M equal citizens and creates a 300 Billion GDP economy. This new entity could absorb and solve all current problems by creating something greater with infinite growth potential.
A new country built from the old giving each of its new 25 states and their communities its own fences. Yet, bringing us all together for a greater ideal and dream. This region should prosper and lead not self destruct.
It is a place where every citizen has the same rights to live and to achieve regardless of religion, ethnicity, gender or personal life choices.
The solution is not more government and more centralization. It is less government and more transparency.
It is a crazy idea for most and wishful thinking for the rest. Yet, I am confident that future generations can and will build it.
